Under the coordination of Cap-Net UNDP and Cap-Net Brasil, in partnership of Water Footprint Network – WFN, and facilitated by Professor Alexandra Freitas, Water Footprint Network, and Professor Demetrios Christofidis, University of Brasilia – UnB, the course was held on November 26, 2015, at Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center, Brasília, DF, during the XXI Symposium of Brazilian Association of Water Resources, with the participation of professionals from different areas with minimal training graduation.
The course was condensed with appropriate sessions for all levels of expertise and institutions. Upon completing the course, participants understood the concept of water footprint and application of the Water Footprint Assessment, including all points of your environment and application. They are also aware of available knowledge, such as resources, databases, tools and emerging water initiatives. The results can be applied to help them in their daily activities related to water.
