Cap-Net UNDP has been elected to the Steering Committee 2023-2026 for the Action Platform for Source-to-Sea Management.
The Platform is a network of organizations committed to promoting, building commitment for, and implementing source-to-sea action to address key development challenges.
The platform secretariat is hosted and coordinated by Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI).
Cap-Net will be represented on the committee by Senior Programme Officer, Yasmina Rais El-Fenni.
The Steering Committee is responsible for identifying "annual priorities and takes a leading role in promoting the source-to-sea approach by engaging its collective networks." (SIWI)
Previously, Cap-Net partnered with the platform to assess the current degree of awareness of the need for a source-to-sea approach, the capacity levels for implementation and the challenges and barriers to doing so.
