Training of Facilitators Course for SDG 6.5.1
What is this course about?
This course will allow all those interested in organising a multi-stakeholder consultation process on SDG indicator 6.5.1, the degree of implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), to fully understand what that indicator is, how it is calculated, as well as both the importance of involving multiple stakeholders and the practical means of involving those different stakeholders.
Only invited participants may take this course. It is a tailored-made course, specifically designed and targeted to:
- For facilitators of, and those interested in, national SDG 6.5.1 reporting processes
- For SDG 6.5.1 focal points within national governments
- For representatives of GWP, Cap-Net and UNEP willing and able to support the process.
Why is it important?
It will provide a common understanding of what SDG 6.5.1 is, how the survey instrument measures it and how it is calculated, standardising the reporting approach while also improving quality of reporting in the countries which the SDG 6 IWRM Support Programme is assisting around the world.
Goal, learning goals.
The overall goal of this training is to generate a deeper and shared understanding of the SDG 6.5.1 survey instrument and how it is calculated among those who will be facilitating the consultation and reporting process around IWRM.
Estimated between 4 and 6 hours, depending on whether optional readings and discussion sections are used or not.
Course approval criteria
60% correct responses on average between the different sections.
