About this Course

This eLearning course takes a thorough approach to teach gender-responsive practices in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). Through progressively structured modules, real-life examples, and interactive elements, participants learn to understand and address challenges. Emphasizing inclusivity and action, the course equips learners with practical strategies for promoting gender equality in WASH practices. This lifelong learning experience fosters positive change and empowerment.

Participants

This e-learning course welcomes a diverse range of participants, including water sector practitioners, researchers, government officials, non-profit organizations, educators, youth, and community leaders. Notably, it encourages the inclusion of housewives and Ibu-Ibu Pembinaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga (Mothers of Family Welfare Development), ensuring a broad audience engaged in the exploration of gender-responsive approaches to water, sanitation, and hygiene practices.

Contents and course structure

Contents are structured in modules. In each module participants will find readings, videos, suggested web sites, forum discussions and quizzes.

Gender Disparities in WASH
MODULE 3:
Promoting Gender Equality in WASH

Course approval criteria and certificate

Responding the quiz at the end of each module and obtaining at least 60% correct responses is a condition to move into the next module, completing the course, and receiving the certificate. There are three opportunities to reach 60% of correct answers, and in all cases the platform will indicate the wrong answers.

Certificate

After completing the 3 modules, participants are invited to answer a short feedback survey of the course. Once this survey is answered, participants may download their certificate. Participation in the course, as well as the download of the certificate, has no costs for the participants.
