Who we areThe key goal of CAR@WAN is to unite partners involved in the study and management of water resources in order to promote the principles of integrated water resources management, improving environment, health, and welfare of the population.  
CAR@WAN objectives:
-Creating a knowledge base for the exchange of experience and information
-Conducting trainings and seminars in order to increase expert, scientific and educational potential
-Implementation of projects and studies at the regional, national and local levels.  
Strategic goals of CARA@WAN:
-Capacity development: organisation of trainings, seminars, lectures, online courses.
-Knowledge management: preparation of educational materials, university courses, case studies, tests, online courses.
-Partnership Strengthening: strengthening partnerships and network management
Network highlights, achievementsCAR@WAN network achievements in figures:
-More than 15 projects have been implemented in the field of environmental education, adaptation to climate change and capacity building in the field of water resources management in Central Asia.
-More than 250 individuals, universities, institutes, NGOs and government bodies from Central Asian countries are members of CAR@WAN Network.
-During the last 8 years CAR@WAN network has published over 1,500 news and 190 weekly newsletters.
-More than 7 training modules have been developed for target audiences;Hydro-climatic risk management (droughts and floods)Water demand management
-Water-saving technologies for industry and agriculture.
-Economic instruments in IWRM, Improving decision-making procedures based on IWRM solutions.
-Conflict resolution and negotiation for IWRM.
-IWRM for river basin organisations.
PartnershipsThe main partners of the Network: UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Global Water Partnership for Caucasus and Central Asia (GWP CACENA), International Fund for saving the Aral Sea (IFAS).
