Training Course and Symposium Coming Up with WaterNet

Short training course

The Faculty of Engineering – Eduardo Mondlane University and AQUASHARE – Mozambican Water Association will implement a four day (12 -15 October 2015) Portuguese short course on Strategic implementation of IWRM at river basin level: Concepts and operational tools – Second edition. The course is going to be undertaken with funding from Cap-Net. The course will take place in Maputo, Mozambique and will be attended by officials from different River Basin Organisations (RBOs).

16th WaterNet/WARFSA/GWPSA Symposium

The 16th WaterNet/WARFSA/GWPSA Symposium will be held from the 28th – 30th of October 2015 in Mauritius under the theme: Infrastructural Planning for Water Security in Eastern and Southern Africa.’ The University of Mauritius is the lead host of the 16th Symposium.

The Symposia have been held annually in the Eastern and Southern African region for the past 15 years to promote interaction among policymakers, academics, practitioners from water and related sectors, and cooperating partners. Together, they identify regional issues, gaps and priorities that require further research and support. Great emphasis will be placed on integration of knowledge, particularly involving scholars from the natural, medical and social sciences.
