Cap-Net UNDP Welcomes New Arg Cap-Net Coordinators

Cap-Net UNDP would like to welcome the coordinators of Arg Cap-Net, Mr. Mario Schreider and Dr. Marta Paris. By succeeding Ms. Valeria Mendoza, both of them will work closely together on behalf of Facultad de Ingeniería y Ciencias Hidricas (FICH) in order to carry out the activities of Arg Cap-Net.

Mario copyMr. Mario Schreider graduated as a Water Resources Engineer from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina. He has also acquired Magister Scientiae (MSc. equivalent) in Integrated Development of Water and Land Resources from Universidad de Los Andes, Mérida Venezuela. Currently he is the Head Professor at the Facultad de Ingeniería y Ciencias Hídricas (FICH) de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), Santa Fe, Argentina as well as Chairman of the UNESCO Chair “Water and Education for the sustainable Development (FICH – UNL). In addition to his work position, Mr. Mario Schreider is also the Dean of the Facultad de Ingeniería y Ciencias Hídricas (FICH – UNL) and Head of the scientific and technical research bureau of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral. Currently he is also a representative on behalf of FICH UNL at the Latin American network of knowledge centres in the water sector (RALCEA). He has carried out several academic and technical activities in the fields of the fluvial hydraulic, and Integrated water resources management all over LatinAmerica. Apart from that, he has also involved with international and regional capacity building networks, like LAWETnet, Cap-Net UNDP, and for governmental and non-governmental organizations. Marta Paris copyDr. Marta Paris graduated as a Water Resources Engineer from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina. She has also acquired her Magister degree (Master equivalent) in Water Resources Engineering from the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina and Doctoral Degree in Geological Sciences from the Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto, Argentina. Her of work as a professor and researcher at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (Faculty of Engineering and Water Sciences, FICH-UNL) are in the field of Hydrogeology and Water Management. She directs scientific research projects and services of national and international technology transfer. She is also an author of several books, book chapters and articles in scientific journals, also participates in conferences and meetings as an author, speaker and guest lecturer in the field of water resources. She has authored training manuals and education in hydrology, groundwater and Integrated Water Resources Management. Apart from that, Dr. Marta Paris has conducted numerous trainings and postgraduate courses in Argentina and other Latin American countries. Currently, she is also supervising doctoral and master candidates from Argentina, Venezuela and Spain. In addition to that, she is also a member of evaluation committees on accreditation bodies and/or teacher evaluation of Argentina, scientific research projects, graduate theses and national and international scientific journals. She was an Academic Coordinator of the Master in Integrated Water Resources FICH-UNL, postgraduate program of Arg Cap-Net (2006-2014). Currently she is a Member of the Academic Committee of this Master program and Representative on behalf of FICH UNL at the Latin American network of knowledge centres in the water sector (RALCEA).
