Cap-Net UNDP will be present in several sessions and meetings, including Management Board, during the World Water Week in Stockholm on 26–31 August 2018. This year’s theme of the World Water Week is ”Water, ecosystems and human development”.
Cap-Net UNDP is one of the conveners of these sessions in Stockholm:
- – Research initiatives on the High Andes ecosystems and water interactions on 28 August
- – SDG6.5 on IWRM: From Global Status Reports to Accelerated Implementation on 28 August
- – Indigenous Peoples: Protecting Ecosystem Balance and Human Rights on 29 August – this session will be livestreamed
- – Ecosystem based water management: From innovation to practice on 30 August – this session will be livestreamed
Cap-Net UNDP will also attend several partners meetings with the aim of strengthening collaboration, agree on collaborative actions for 2019, and review lesson and key elements for effective capacity development.
Some 3000 participants from more than 130 countries are expected to World Water Week to exchange knowledge and develop solutions to the world’s most pressing water-related challenges. Meet the Cap-Net and UNDP Water and Ocean Governance staff at Booth number 31. We hope to see you there!
