WaterNet is part of a consortium of 16 organizations from Africa and Europe implementing the Africa-EU Innovation Alliance for Water and Climate, “AfriAlliance” Project, commonly referred to as the H2020 Project which is being funded by the European Commission. The major objective of the project is for: African and European stakeholders to work together in the areas of water innovation, research, policy, and capacity development in order to increase the preparedness of Africa for future Climate Change vulnerabilities.
The launch of the programme took place on 2-3 March 2016 at UNESCO-IHE in Delft, The Netherlands. Dr Jean-Marie Kileshye Onema, represented WaterNet at this launch.
