Water Integrity and Accountability

Integrity, accountability and corruption are critical factors in how water resources and services are being governed. Cap-Net engaged with the UNDP Water Governance Facility and WaterNet in the development of a capacity building programme and training materials on the subject of water integrity and accountability. A team composed of network members from LA-WETnet, CK-Net, WaterNet, and Dundee University is preparing the training package.

A first training of trainers course will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 1 - 3 June, organised by WaterNet members UCW and ACWR. WaterNet supports participants from the region whereas Cap-Net provides support to participants from other networks. The Water Integrity Network (WIN) will also bring in participants from the region. Following experiences in the course, the training package will be finalised and used in regional follow up trainings in South and Southeast Asia and Latin America.
