(Argentine Water Education and Capacity Building Network)

Objectives:

The main objectives are:

  • to strengthen capacities for integrated water resources management
  • to foster human resources capacity building in all levels of education in relation with water resources
  • to promote the basics of IWRM; facilitate experience interchange
  • to promote the understanding of water's economic, social and environmental value
  • to promote better knowledge of the Argentine water resources
  • to promote the development of sustainable technologies related with water resources
  • to work together with international institutions and networks in capacity building for IWRM.

Outputs:

The Argentine WET Network members will convene at the School of Engineering and Water Sciences in the city of Santa Fe on November 25, 2002 to discuss and agree on the Network’s Work Plan and relevant outputs for the year 2003.
