The Nile Basin region has been affected by floods and droughts over the past years and it is important within IWRM to capacitate water managers with these tools and strategies to effectively apply IWRM principles in managing these water related risks. Water Managers will now need to plan and develop adaptation strategies to ensure our adaptation to climate change. It is therefore important to ensure that we have trained practitioners who can lead in the development of these strategies.
