The meeting draws together the various network members active on climate change and also the World Meteorological Organisation's Associated Flood Management Programme. The meeting is expected to draw up a programme of actions and to specify in more detail the content of the more immediate actions.

The first training on IWRM will take place from 1st - 5th April in Juba Southern Sudan. The course is being managed by MASRI, an NGO member of Nile IWRM-Net in collaboration with the government of Southern Sudan. This first exposure to the principles of IWRM is expected to lead to further action to address water resources management in the region.
